About CEST:

CEST is an initiative of Indian Educational Services (IES) which aims to provide Scholarship to Meritorious students. This is in sync with Company’s Vision to provide quality education at affordable cost and make higher education more reachable to middle and lower income group. Through CEST we offer scholarship in 40+ Courses & 200+ Institutes.


The most unique feature of CEST is that we guarantee that any student who writes this entrance not only gets confirmed admission but also gets a *guaranteed scholarship of a minimum amount of Rs. 1000/-. This is an unlimited scholarship offered to all the applicants who appear for the scholarship test and join private institutions through IES.

  • Q1. What is the eligibility criteria for CEST 2023?
    A. Students who have completed or are pursuing Class 12th are eligible to apply for CEST 2023.
  • Q2. What is the application process?
    A. The application fee is INR 100 for Indian students. The student has to pay the respective application fee and register. Then he/she has to fill an application that includes personal details, academic details, introductory questions, documents and final declaration and form submission.
  • Q3. How many candidates will get the scholarship?
    A. Each and every student who appears for this test will get guaranteed scholarship depending upon their rank.
  • Q4. What is the process of selection?
    A. Selection is based solely on test results.
  • Q5. What are the important dates?
    A. The application starts from 14th April 2023 for Bangalore Students
    Students can give their offline Test on 15th-16th April(Bangalore)
    Results will be announced on 20th April 2023 (5.P.M)
    For Malappuram Students:
    Students can give their offline Test on 26th & 27th April 2023
    Results will be announced on 15th May 2023 (5.P.M)
    For Calicut Students:
    Students can give their offline Test on 29th & 30th April 2023
    Results will be announced on 15th May 2023 (5.P.M)
    For Kochi Students:
    Students can give their offline Test on 8th & 9th May 2023
    Results will be announced on 15th May 2023 (5.P.M)
    For Kannaur Students:

  • Q6. What are the documents required for applying CEST Scholarship?
    A. The applicants are advised to carry the following required documents:
    (a) Class 10th Markscard
    (b) Class 12th Markscard (if applicable)
    (c) Identity Proof (Aadhar Card, Voters Id, Driving License etc)
    (d) Passport Size Photograph
  • Q7. When and where will I find out if I have been awarded a scholarship?
    A. Results can be viewed on www.cest.org.in by 5:00 PM on 20th April 2023(For State of Karnataka Students) and on 15th May 2023(For State of Kerala Students).
  • Q8. What kind of questions will be there in CEST?
    A. The exam consists of 4 Sections
    (a) Verbal Ability
    (b) General Knowledge
    (c) Logical Reasoning
    (d) Mathematical Ability / Biology / Legal Aptitude / Quantitative Techniques (Depending on Course)
    Each section will be of 15 marks.
    Duration of the test is 60 minutes and there will be 0.25 negative marking for every wrong answer.

Terms & Conditions

  • Indian Educational Services (IES) owns the copyright of the Common Entrance & Scholarship Test (CEST).
  • The total number of awardees in the test is subject to the number of students applying for CEST.
  • Total scholarship amount will be distributed as per the rank of the test.
  • Scholarship is solely based on the test results.
  • Candidate can register for the exam only once. If the candidate is found to have appeared for the exam more than once, he/she will be disqualified.
  • If any candidate is found using unfair means during the test, he/she will be disqualified.
  • If any candidate is found writing on the Question Booklet, he/she will be disqualified.
  • No extra time will be given.
  • Mobiles and Calculators are not allowed in the Test.
  • Only Black / Blue pens are allowed in the Test.
  • Scholarship Amount cannot be encashed.
  • *Confirmed admission is applicable only if the student takes admission to IES partner institutes and is subject to respective institute eligibility norms.
  • IES holds the final authority to award scholarship.
  • Any dispute for Indian Students will be limited to Bangalore Jurisdiction only.
  • **Guaranteed Scholarship is applicable only if the student takes admission through IES in any of the private institutes.
  • Scholarship is not applicable if a student joins any private college on his own without IES assistance.
  • Scholarship is applicable for admissions in AY 2023 only.
